Military Benefits InformationFemale soldier

Spring Arbor University coordinates veteran and active military benefits through the Office of Registration and Records. Students eligible to receive benefits from the Veteran Benefits Administration should make certain that all records are correct before the beginning of each term of attendance. Some qualifying students may be eligible to have their entire tuition and fees covered through the Post-911 G.I.Bill. Learn more by clicking on the link located in the "Federal VA Benefits" section.

Process for receiving benefits

Veterans interested in using their VA education benefits should go to gibill.va.gov to complete the necessary enrollment information. This is the quickest way to begin benefits.

Note: If the student chooses to begin benefits, be sure to notify the Records Office so we can create a VA file for the student. The student will not be certified as enrolled unless the Records and Registration Office knows they want benefits. A DD-214 in a student’s file is not an indication that a student wants to use the GI Bill benefits.

Student questions or problems about benefits may be addressed to the St. Louis Regional Office for Veterans Benefits, 1.888.442.4551, or go on line to gibill.va.gov. There is a wealth of information for the students at the Web site. If you determine that you are eligible for any military-related benefits, please complete and submit to SAU the SAU Verification of Military and VA Benefits form. To speak with a SAU representative regarding military benefits, please contact the Office of Registration and Records at 517.750.6516.
