Spring Arbor University’s Ganton Art Gallery presents the fall semester show, which opens with a reception at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, and will remain on display through January 31. The exhibit showcases student artwork completed during the fall semester.
The reception will include a ceremony for numerous awards including the Juror’s Choice Award and the Department Award.
Katie Emery, art teacher at Lansing Christian School, will serve as juror.
Community members are invited to visit the gallery after Hanging of the Greens; the gallery will also be open 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. the evening of Dec. 6.
During the month of January, the gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The gallery will be closed on the weekends.
The gallery will close for the Christmas holiday on Dec. 13 and will reopen on Jan. 9, 2014.
The Ganton Art Gallery and Spring Arbor University are located eight miles southwest of Jackson, Michigan in Spring Arbor. During normal hours of operation, the gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
