Spring Arbor University’s Ganton Art Gallery presents the spring semester show, which opens with a reception at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and will remain on display through the summer. The exhibit showcases student artwork completed during the spring semester.
The reception will include a ceremony for numerous awards including the Juror’s Choice Award, Department Award and the Cole Color Award. Additionally, the inaugural Sara J. Cole Memorial Scholarship Award will be announced and the first three artworks of the Miranda Collection will be unveiled.
Samuel Knecht, art department chair and professor of art at Hillsdale College, will serve as juror.
The Ganton Art Gallery and Spring Arbor University are located eight miles southwest of Jackson, Michigan in Spring Arbor. The gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
