Spring Arbor University hosts seventh annual Women in Leadership Conference

WIL_2014Spring Arbor University hosts the seventh annual Women In Leadership Conference on Saturday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Poling Center on the University’s main campus. The Women in Leadership conference features motivational speakers, inspirational workshops, and opportunities for networking.

The Women in Leadership conference is designed to assist women in fulfilling their potential as leaders. Women of all ages and backgrounds come together to collect relevant tools for spiritual, personal, and professional development. This year’s conference, titled “Lead With Integrity,” features keynote speakers Desirae Kelley-Kato and Kristi Hoffman.

Kelley-Kato received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor University in the field of secondary education and communications in 1981. She has been employed with the Capital Area Response Effort Program for 12 years. As an advocate for domestic violence victims, Kelley-Kato has provided services for hundreds of clients through post-arrest crisis intervention, court advocacy, community referrals, or transportation to local agencies.

Hoffman is an award-winning television host and producer, PBS-TV media personality and CEO of Total Package Professional. She speaks to business professionals, women and teen groups, athletes and aspiring professionals about reaching their next level of success and performance at work and in life. Her research-based success tools have impacted women across the globe and focus on aligning body, brain and spirit to become successful.

The registration fee for the conference is $45, $25 for SAU staff and faculty, and $10 for students. The cost includes a light breakfast, snacks, lunch, two keynote presentations, gift bag, and seven workshop options including spa sessions.
