SAU Staff and Faculty,
Thank you to each of you for your dedication to SAU and all the ways you have helped make our transition to remote learning and work possible. We want to provide you with an update on our plans for our community in the coming months.
At this time, we intend to resume in-person instruction and residential life for the Fall 2020 semester. SAU administration is developing a plan to implement best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all of our students.
In addition to this, we are working through the details of a phased approach for our employees to return to in-person work on campus and at our regional sites.
Before our employees return to campus, we will be providing a detailed protocol document to inform the SAU community of how that can occur safely. This documentation is being developed by an expanded Coronavirus Planning Team with guidance from the Michigan Government, the Jackson County Health Department, and also the American College Health Association. The ten primary considerations providing the framework for the protocol are available here.
As we plan to have both students and employees come back to campus, we remain committed to the highest standards of care in order to keep our community—on-campus and in the region—healthy and thriving.
Stay tuned to www.arbor.edu/coronavirus to review our developing plans and communication.
