COVID-19 October 6 Update

SAU Community,

As many of you know, the Michigan Supreme Court recently ruled against Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive orders to extend the state of emergency for COVID-19. Although state regulations may be changing over the coming days and weeks, we want to clarify that we are not making any adjustments to the rules put in place at this time. We will continue to work with the Jackson County Health Department and review CDC guidelines in order to determine how and when we might safely make some modifications to campus life.

We ask that all students, faculty and staff continue to wear masks, maintain social distance with others, wash your hands frequently, minimize travel, avoid large gatherings, scan your attendance in classrooms and meeting spaces, and submit the health questionnaire whenever you leave your residence hall or arrive on campus.
