New Student Orientation Spring 2021

January 26-27, 2021

New Student Orientation is a dedicated time for you to take a deep dive into the culture and community of Spring Arbor University. You’ll have the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, get to know our student leaders and learn about the resources available to you on campus.

FAQs

  • New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new residential and commuter undergraduate main campus students. These students are automatically registered for the event. If a conflict in your schedule prevents you from participating in any part of New Student Orientation, we ask that you communicate that scheduling conflict to your admissions representative before your arrival.
  • In order to limit the number of people on campus and maintain social distancing, we ask that each new residential student bring no more than two guests to help them move in.
  • When you arrive, please check in at the Ralph Carey Forum (RCF), located on the upper level of the Kresge Student Life Center. This is where you will receive your welcome packet and room key (if residing on campus). Upon arrival, you will be tested for COVID-19, unless you plan to submit one of the documents listed below.
  • After check-in, residential students will find student leaders at their residence halls ready to help them move in!
  • If you have questions about campus resources, events or ways that you or your student can get involved in the SAU community, feel free to reach out to us by phone at 517.750.6330 or by email at student.development@arbor.edu.

Baseline Testing for Spring

We ask those arriving to campus to demonstrate that they are healthy, symptom-free and safe to be in the community through one of the following methods:

  • A scheduled PCR test from HHWS upon arrival
  • A negative PCR or rapid antigen test administered within five days of arriving on campus
  • A positive COVID diagnosis within the previous 90 days
  • A positive antibody test within the previous 30 days
  • Proof of vaccination
