“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What have you done for others?’” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
Join us for the largest organized one-day community service project in Jackson County! This event will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Michigan Theatre in Jackson.
Each year, SAU’s Office of Intercultural Relations organizes a community-wide day of service in remembrance of the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This project is an opportunity for the entire community to ‘join hands’ and address needs within Jackson County together. This is a day of reflection, renewal and pride.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is observed each year on the third Monday of January, which is close to Dr. King’s birthday, January 15. Many establishments are closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; let’s make this holiday a “DAY ON, not a DAY OFF.”
