Roxanne Fogel Kaufman, M.F.A., Assistant Professor of Art, has explored the field of photography in several professional settings including studio, advertising, freelance and personal practice. She continues exclusive work in each of these areas to stay current on technology and trends, which can be shared and applied in the classroom.
Kaufman’s photography has been exhibited in galleries around the Midwest. Noted for her documentary style portraiture and equine photography, she strives to find personalities in people and animals that are rarely viewed and bring them to the forefront through technically sound and conceptually powerful compositions. Her work is often described as being raw, honest and emotional.
Since 2012, Kaufman has been a part of SAU’s Department of Art & Design, progressing from an adjunct position to full-time faculty in 2016.
