Hometown: Midland, MI

Education: I recently received my bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and will continue on to the Masters in Social Work program this fall.

Interests: I like to stay active and on the go! As a volunteer leader in an organization that enriches lives through physical and social activities, I’m an active participant in variety of races and community events. I recently signed up for my first marathon! In addition to running, I also enjoy swimming and hiking. In my downtime you’ll find me in a coffee shop with a good book or on the yoga mat.

Faith statement: My grandmother was the one who introduced me to God and continues to lead me on my faith journey. As an adult I find comfort in knowing that God has an ultimate plan for me and continues to instill purpose into my life.

Statement of purpose: As a working adult and a recent graduate, I know firsthand how challenging navigating higher education can be. My life was forever changed during my degree completion program. I want to share the transformative experiences that Spring Arbor University has to offer and connect students to our unique faith based community.

Hometown: Petoskey, Mich.

Education: I graduated from Central Michigan University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and advertising.

Interests: Spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, watching movies, taking walks along the waterfront, home improvement projects, painting and reading.

Faith statement: I was raised a Christian but have developed a deeper relationship with the Lord over the past several years. I have seen how He provides and realize how truly blessed I am. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 NIV)

Statement of purpose: Spring Arbor University’s unique format offers quality programs taught with a Christian perspective which sets us apart from other colleges and universities in the area. I truly enjoy working with students as they prepare to enroll with SAU and change their lives for the better both academically and spiritually.
