MAC Student Awarded with NBCC Scholarship

This year, Masters of Arts in Counseling student Shyam Suchak is a recipient of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program, having received $10,000. The NBCC Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) supports each recipient’s education and training, mentorship, and professional development services.

There are 113 total recipients of the NBCC scholarship this year, the most significant recipients since the NBCC first received the MFP in 2012. A total of 792 counseling fellows have been awarded this scholarship since 2013, with over $10.8 million awarded for the professional development of counselors in mental health, addiction, and education.
