SAU’s Grand Rapids learning site relocates to Kuyper College campus

Spring Arbor University’s (SAU) Grand Rapids learning site now has a new home at Kuyper College. SAU’s Grand Rapids location offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s level degrees tailored toward working adults who can attend classes one night a week.

SAU’s Grand Rapids learning site is one of 11 locations in Michigan geared toward professional adults. The University, which is based in Spring Arbor, MI, launched its regional sites more than 30 years ago to make Christian education accessible to busy professionals. Students studying at SAU learning sites obtain their master degrees or complete their bachelor degrees through evening classes on-site or via the virtual classroom. Its most popular programs in the Grand Rapids area are social work and counseling.

The move provides wins for both institutions, as Kuyper College gains access to additional graduate programs on-site. “We are pleased to be hosting the Grand Rapids regional location for Spring Arbor University,” said Ken Capisciolto, Vice President for Advancement at Kuyper. “This collaboration provides a unique opportunity for our two great institutions to increase the presence of Christian higher education in the greater Grand Rapids community without duplication in our program offerings.”

“We’re very excited to work with Kuyper College to make this move a reality,” said Dr. Josh Wymore, Senior Executive Director for SAU Global. “Kuyper’s facilities will serve our students well, and this new venue will provide a familiar location for the Kuyper students each year who enroll in our one-year Master of Social Work program.”

Founded in 1939, Kuyper College is a leading Christian College focused on effectively training students to make a difference in God’s world. Kuyper offers master, bachelor and associate degrees in a variety of professional and ministry fields. The College is located on a beautiful and tranquil campus a few miles from downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan—one of the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States.
