A Message from Kim Hayworth
Student Development and Learning on SAU’s campus is all about the students. Our departmental mission statement is: Love enough to challenge. Care enough to support.
It is our goal to facilitate student learning and development both inside and outside the classroom. Each year, Student Development and Learning sponsors hundreds of programs, services and activities created to engage students, body, soul and spirit. From our top-ranked spiritual life programs, including chapel services, outreach ministries, and spring break mission trips to our popular extracurricular programs and more social activities than your social calendar can fit, Student Development and Learning seeks to meet the spiritual, social, intellectual and emotional needs of our students.
Since you’ve found our Web site, I invite you to check out all our department has to offer. Again, it’s all about the students so you are sure to find a few programs and services that will pique your interest. Take the time to check out our activities calendar as well as read the profiles of our staff. We are here to serve, challenge and support.
Kim K. Hayworth, Ph.D
Vice President of Student Success and Calling
Living in the Spring Arbor University community will offer each student opportunities to:
- Grow in their faith in Jesus Christ
- Thrive in intellectual development
- Gain consistency between personal beliefs and behavior
- Accept responsibility as a member of the community
- Strengthen skills to manage life changes
- Flourish in a culturally diverse society
The Office of Student Development and Learning does much to make Spring Arbor more than an educational institution for students. They work to make it home for the hundreds of students living on campus and commuting to SAU. There is a wide variety of things to do and see and be on this campus – in many ways you are only limited by limitations of your imagination and ambition. Take some time to learn more about this campus and community and what they have to offer you at our student life section.
