“So here’s what I want you to do. God helping you; take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating going-to-work, and walking around life—and place it before God as an offering.” Romans 12:1 (MSG)
Our relationship with Christ begins with knowing Him and understanding who we are in Him. It’s personal…prayer, scripture reading, solitude, etc.
The next step is making use of fellow members of the faith. Growing works best as a group activity…group worship, small groups, accountability, floor Bible studies, etc.
Finally, take what you’ve gained and bless the world. The first word of Jesus’ charge to His disciples in Matthew 28 was “Go.” You need to find a way to share with and serve others… spring break mission trips, weekly ministry teams, service projects, mentoring, teaching and more.
The goal of this office is to help every person in the SAU community to develop these areas of their lives. Through programs, small groups, events, retreats, prayer opportunities, outreach and service everyone has a chance to become spiritually formed a little more into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
