After graduating from Midland High School, I attended college for a few years before I married my high school sweetheart and enlisted in the Air Force as a radar repair technician. A wonderful Air Force career followed, punctuated by breaks to attend college and earn multiple degrees in engineering. As a senior research engineer in the Air Force, I was blessed to be able to work on multiple high-tech systems, including satellite radar, navigation and data collection systems.

Dr. Victor Karthik has served as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Spring Arbor University since Fall 2020. Dr. Karthik holds a doctoral degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University. After graduating from MSU, he led the engineering team at Avidhrt Inc. as they developed a handheld cardiac monitoring device capable of taking vitals such as ECG, Pulse oximetry and body temperature. Dr. Karthik is a co-inventor of two patent applications and has authored many publications in peer-reviewed journals.
