SOC 311 Racial & Ethnic Relations

This course examines the cultures and experiences of minority ethnic groups in the United States and the impact of prejudice, discrimination, and racism on these minority groups and white society. Students will evaluate how race is socially constructed and the consequences that follow.

PSY 305 Abnormal Psychology

This course is designed to introduce students to the major psychological disorders, with a primary focus on diagnosis, etiology, and treatment of abnormal behavior. Students will learn how to distinguish between the many causes of abnormal behavior.

SW 352 Research Design

This course prepares students to design a proposal for program outcome evaluation, needs assessment, and single-subject research. It provides a foundation for understanding how research methods can be used to evaluate practice at a micro-and macro-level.
