Local philanthropist Al Glick passes away

The founder, CEO, and chairman of Alro Steel, Al Glick has died at the age of 95. Glick was the recipient of the Faith F. Small Community Faithfulness Award at Spring Arbor’s Evening at the Arbor in 2018, recognizing his leadership in promoting private action for the public good and being an inspiration to the local community.

Al has been an influence in the Jackson community for many years, as he has funded projects such as starting the Jackson Southwest Little League Baseball, the Louis Glick Community Baseball Field at Jackson High School, and most recently the Al Glick Athletic Center at Jackson High School that’s currently under construction.
