Anthony Parker graduated from SAU with an MBA in 2001. He currently serves as the Senior Budget and Planning Analyst at Consumers Energy. Prior to his current position, Anthony was Community Affairs Manager of Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee Counties for Consumers Energy.

Anthony was born in Gobler, Missouri, but grew up in Jackson, Michigan, and graduated from Jackson High School. He completed his undergraduate degree in finance at Western Michigan University. He has earned a reputation as someone who is very skilled and gets jobs done. His extensive experience in the energy industry and strong background in finance, public relations and strategic planning have made him a valuable asset to Consumers as well as the energy community as a whole.

Anthony is committed to serving the Jackson community. He serves in a leadership capacity on boards of directors for several local organizations, including The Enterprise Group, the Henry Ford Allegiance Health Foundation, the Nonprofit Network, the College & Career Access Center and the NAACP. He also serves on the state executive council for AARP.

Anthony works hard to showcase the diversity and the beauty of African American culture to our community as a member of the Executive Team for the Jackson County Juneteenth Committee. He is also an active member of his church and other organizations in Jackson County.

SAU has a long and successful history in Anthony’s family, as eight of Anthony’s family members have graduated from SAU. We’re glad to have Anthony in our SAU community!
