Esports added as a new intercollegiate sport for 2024-25 season at SAU

Spring Arbor University announced as new sport for 2024-25 season.

Spring Arbor University announced the introduction of Esports as a new intercollegiate sport for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday. As a rapidly growing sport, students will be able to participate in competitive gaming in games like Rocket League, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros.

“We are thrilled to add Esports to our athletic department and to the Spring Arbor University campus,” said Athletic Director Jason Crist. “The opportunity to broaden our athletic offerings serves SAU in a variety of ways and will add a new and diverse group of student-athletes to our campus.”
