Bio

Anil Joseph, chair of the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation, has been with Spring Arbor University in various roles. He served as an admissions representative for the university from 1992-1994 as well as holding the role of assistant men’s soccer coach during that time. He later moved on into the HHPR department (formerly known as the ESS department) for Spring Arbor University where he has been an instructor for the past seven years. In addition to teaching on the main campus, Joseph has taught Weekend College in the adult studies program.
Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree from Spring Arbor University and received his master’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University. He is a certified teacher and has served as an instructor for the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation since 2001 and as the SAU men’s soccer coach from 1997-2008.
Joseph has lived in Africa, India, and Oregon. He has traveled to England, Holland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Kenya, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. He and his wife, Kristi, have three children.
