Harvey Gainey (1942-2021)

Harvey Gainey

Former SAU Board of Trustees Member (2003-2015)

Through the financial generosity of Harvey and his wife, Annie, SAU built the residence dorm Gainey Hall in honor of their contribution in 2006 and named the Gainey School of Business after him in 2007.

Gainey founded the Christian camp Two Moose Camp in Glen, Montana, a non-profit dedicated to leadership training. Two Moose Camp has generously hosted SAU students for the past 15 years, including students in the honors program and student leaders. Since 2009, athletic teams at SAU have sent players over the summer to receive leadership training.

Harvey was known as a successful businessman, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. He founded and operated the Gainey Corporation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and served on the Board of Trustees at Liberty University.
