Hometown: St. Charles, IL

Education: I graduated from Spring Arbor University in May of 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

Interests: Some things I enjoy most in life include hanging out with friends, reading, and spending time outdoors. That involves hiking, playing Baggo (though I’ve heard Michiganders call it Cornhole) and working on my miniature golf game. I am passionate about soccer, coffee, people, and good-natured banter.

Testimony: Luckily I do not have an extreme testimony because I was blessed to have been brought up in a Christian household my whole life. I think there was a good balance of education and understanding but also freedom to make my faith my own and pursue it individually. I don’t think I fully understood what a whole-hearted life-commitment to Jesus Christ looked like and felt like, though, until I got to Spring Arbor University. My freshman year here was transformational and a big step in my faith in committing myself wholly to Christ, and pursuing a life that exemplifies that daily. Thankfully I was surrounded by friends and teammates, as well as my mentor and coach, who cared about me enough to challenge me regularly to take the next step in my faith.

Statement of Purpose: As insisted upon in my testimony, this place, and especially these people, have had heavy influence on me and my recent growth. I’ve developed a passion for pouring into the lives of other young men after reflecting on how much my mentor and professors influenced me. I understand these years to be crucial in personal growth, and as I am still continuing to grow daily, I find it to feel a particular responsibility and privilege to set an example for young men. This stems from a belief that though Jesus had a great deal of influence with his words, the majority of his influence came from how he interacted with people and went about life. In my role as an Admissions Rep I have the opportunity to share with students how truly special this place is and what this SAU journey entails, and that fuels me.
