SAU to host in-person Commencement Ceremonies in May

SAU graduates at commencement

Spring Arbor University is pleased to announce its plan to hold in-person Commencement Ceremonies this May.

The first Commencement Ceremony, to be held on May 15, will celebrate campus undergraduate students completing degrees in December 2020 or May 2021. On May 22, SAU will host ceremonies to celebrate all off-campus graduate and undergraduate students completing degrees between January 2020 and May 2021, as well as campus undergraduate students who completed degrees in May 2020.

Commencement will be held outside on the university’s main plaza. To accommodate graduates, guests and faculty, the event will be split into several ceremonies, organized by program or academic school. Each graduate will be allowed to have up to four guests and must RSVP regarding their participation and number of guests. The specific time for each ceremony will be communicated by April 16.

“We understand how important it is for our graduates to have the opportunity to celebrate the completion of their degrees at SAU with their families,” says SAU President Dr. Brent Ellis. “Our plans to hold modified versions of our Commencement Ceremonies will allow for a meaningful and safe celebration.”
