The career development office exists to help our students make a successful transition from their undergraduate educational environment to employment or further educational pursuits. As a member of the faculty or staff, you play an integral role in the career development of our students and alumni.
We can assist you and your students and alumni in the following ways:
Career-related programming in your class or your department
The career center staff offers classroom presentations tailored to your needs. We can provide programs during most scheduled class times (perhaps as a “fill-in” when you need to be away from the classroom), at meetings of majors or prospective majors, or in the evening.
Our presentations are interactive and geared to the needs of the students, including topics such as:
- Career Exploration
- Resume and Cover Letter Writing
- Preparing for an Interview
- What Can I Do With This Major?
- Networking & Information Interviewing
